Firstly, Drinking and Watering in scripture (click here) for the references
1. Water from Earth and Sky (i.e. from rain) 99-100% H2O
2. Beer from Hop plants, admittedly, not mentioned in scripture, but is about 92% H2O
3. Milk is about 87% H2O, 5% lactose sugar, 3½% fat and just under 3½% of various other proteins.
4. Red Wine (for drinking, and also used for "drink offerings" that were "poured out") comes of course from grape plants and has a range of about 70% - 88% pure H2O
with the other major chemical then being its ethyl alcohol content i.e. CH2 (a methylene group) bonded with CH3 (a methyl group) and the oxygen in OH (a Hydroxyl group).
Red Blood from both animals and man, on the other hand, carries the breath (oxygen) and numerous sugars, proteins (life-regenerating materials) out to the cells.
Blood is approximately 55% plasma which is 92% H2O. Thus blood's pure water content is only a fraction over 50%.
In Hebrew, the word for red blood is "dam", a word closely related to "adamah" - the red ground from which "Adam" was made and "daman" - the Hebrew word for stillness, being silent or cut off (as in death).
While inside the body in life it contains the soul, the individual body language. When cut off, i.e. when an animal (or man) dies, it is thus said to be holy before God, and not to be consumed (by us). Also incidentally in scripture, all natural discharges from bodies whether it's by bleeding, urinating, spitting, semen etc are of course treated as discharges of uncleanness due to our fallen condition. During his earthly life, only Jesus is recorded as being used of the Holy Spirit to heal a man's blindness by his spitting on the ground and daubing that mixture on the man's eyes.
Ok, lastly, the Holy anointing oil as defined in Exodus, with links (and pictures) to those plants in Wikipedia
Firstly, as many of you know, “Anointed” (mashiyach) or (messiah) in Hebrew, is translated as “Christ” in Greek. First mentioned in Genesis 28, when Jacob anointed the rock he’d used for a pillow, the night the “angels of God ascended and descended” upon the place where he lay. Click here for that reference, noting also references to Isaiah, Jesus’s scripture reading as recorded in Luke.
So, here’s the formula, that was given to Moses in Exodus 30: 23-25
It was always to be, basically, made up of carbohydrates (sugars) and fats with the ratio being around 82% essential oils to 18% fatty oil of olive. Essential oils are non-oily, natural substances retaining the essence, the fragrance of the original plant.
“Collect choice spices: 500 shekels (5.67 kgs) of pure myrrh, 250 shekels (2.835 kgs) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels (2.835 kgs) of fragrant calamus (cane), and 500 shekels (5.67 kgs) of cassia, as measured by the weight of the sanctuary shekel. Also get one hin (3.67 litres) of olive oil. Like a skilled incense maker, blend these ingredients to make a holy anointing oil”.
Yep, that’d be sweet stuff all right, no wonder some talked about them “getting high”.
